Who We Are

The Church of the Holy Spirit is a Christian church.

We believe in God the Father....our Father, Creator

In Jesus, the Messiah....our Savior and Lord
and in
Holy Spirit, our Comforter, Teacher, and Guide.

We believe that God made the heavens, the earth, and all creatures therein.

And that He forgives us of our sins.

God has given all creatures His son, Jesus, who died on a cross and arose from the dead.

We believe Jesus went to heaven and is now seated at God’s right hand.

Jesus' death and resurrection has given us the opportunity to receive the gift of eternal life.

God has given us Holy Spirit to teach, comfort, and guide us.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God.

*

Jesus Christ from Nazareth, the man who was crucified, was raised from the dead by God!

Jesus has now become the cornerstone.

"There is salvation in no one else!  There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."

Acts 4: 10 - 12

Holy Bible New Living Translation

Who are God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

God is our heavenly Father who created the heavens and the earth.  He lovingly forgives our sins.  God gave us His Son, Jesus, who died on a cross, and arose from the dead.  Jesus now sits at the right hand of God.  He is the Messiah, our Savior.  He can be our Lord, if we believe in him and accept him.  He gave us the opportunity to receive eternal life.  When Jesus went to heaven, Holy Spirit was made available to us to comfort, teach, and guide us.

God in the beginning:  Genesis 1 & 2
Jesus:  Matthew 1, 2 & 3
Holy Spirit:  John 15:26, 16:5-15

Are you one with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

If you have not accepted the Trinity (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit) into your life to receive all they have to give you, and you would like to, pray this prayer or use your own words from your heart:

“Dear Heavenly Father God, please forgive me of my sins known and unknown.  Jesus, please come into my life, heal me, and make me whole.  Give me a new life in and with you.  I wish to receive all that you have to give.  Baptize me in the fullness of your Holy Spirit, so that I can learn all I can about you, to love you as you love me, so I can love others, and, so I can love myself.  Holy Spirit, please fill me to overflowing with all the fruits and the gifts you have to give me to help me grow in Christ Jesus and be able to share the Trinity with others.  Thank you for giving me this new life.  Please send other Christians to surround me to help me grow and be strong to defeat Satan and the things of the world.  Help me to be worthy of your love.  Thank you God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.  In Jesus' name I pray, by and with the power of the Holy Spirit, to dear Heavenly Father God.  Amen.”

If you have prayed this prayer, or one from your heart, please email us at TrinityMissions@msn.com, so we can agree with you in prayer, praise God, and uplift you with prayer support.  We are thrilled to welcome you into the family of believers and encourage you to find a church home nearby where you can study, grow, and fellowship with others.  Someone may need your support as much as you need them.  We are commanded to come together in fellowship to worship His majesty.

If you choose to fellowship with us via the web, we are honored to welcome you to the Church of the Holy Spirit.  We pray you will be enriched and uplifted in the fullness of the Trinity to their glory.  Stay in touch and let us know how you are doing from time to time.  We hope to have a special page for this purpose.  We now have a page where you will be able to list prayers for all to see, so that we may come together praying as a body of believers, for Jesus said, ‘wherever two or more shall gather, there will I be.’   Don’t forget to send prayers of thanksgiving, as well as petitions of tears.

You are who God calls ‘The Promise Children’, as in Romans 9:25-26 NLT:

“Those who were not my people, I will now call my people.  And I will love those whom I did not love before.  And, once they were told, ‘You are not my people.’ But now he will say, ‘You are children of the living God.”

“The Kingdom of God is near you now.”

The Apostle Paul gave us this “Prayer for Spiritual Empowerment” in Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT.  It reads

“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now glory be to God!  By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages.  Amen.”

Jesus told us to remain in his love in John 15:9-13 NLT:

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.  Remain in my love.  When you obey me, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father and remain in his love.  I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy.  Yes, your joy will overflow!  I command you to love each other in the same way that I love you.  And here is how to measure it - the greatest love is shown when people lay down their lives for their friends."

   Keep Boldly Preaching....No Matter What

Acts 9: 22

 Luke

Saul's preaching became more and more powerful, and the Jews in Damascus couldn't refute his proofs that Jesus was indeed the Messiah.

Thoughts....

So, I was preaching along....typing away....and I needed to copy and paste a quote from the end of the page.  Lo and behold....Satan jumped in and deleted the whole top half of this page....including EVERYTHING I had just written and not copied to file to rescue.  So, I am starting over.  'Must be important info for Satan to rear his ugly head.  Must be he wants to eliminate glory for God.

I usually do not preach on one line or two, but due to the importance of what is being said, the last 2 weeks, and this week hold foundational truths that are huge and can stand alone without the loss of the whole message.

Saul preached the Gospel in good times and bad.  He went forth with as much zeal for Jesus as he once had against him.  Only this time, he had the fire of the Holy Spirit within him.  He was unstoppable which history bears out.  His whole intent was to love the Lord with all his heart, mind and strength, love his neighbors as himself, and go forth preaching and teaching the message:  'The Messiah you are looking for is Jesus'.  And as he went, people were being healed and saved.

I recently met a young man named Jesus.  His name is pronounced 'Hey-soose'.  He is a young man with the fire of the Holy Spirit as Saul had.  To glance at him, you might not know that he is a child of God.  But if you look at him, you will see he carries a Bible.  He places it on the table next to him at lunch.  When I asked him if he was a Christian, he lit up....he let Jesus' light shine through him.  Furthermore, his zeal, and Holy Spirit's fire, was evident by the way he shone and all he had to say for the Lord, as he shared Scripture references, which rolled right off his tongue and bubbled forth from his heart.  He was so excited to be sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Remember the song, "This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine?"  Let me tell you, this young man 'let it shine, let it shine, let it shine'.  With his persona and his deeds, and Holy Spirit's fire from within him he said 'Come'.  He's doing what each one of us is called to do as outlined in Revelations 22:17, 'The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." Let each one who hears them say, "Come"'.

I don't know what his ministry will look like, whether it will be a journey of one on one's, or if he will preside over large numbers of people.  But I do know he will bring God glory....he already has....first by being himself....a child of God....a Christian.

Let me tell you a little about my new friend....my brother in Christ.  I hope he won't mind.  He is a young man whose mom and dad are divorcing.  His dad has a disease that keeps him from being focused on his family.  His mom is going to school to be a nurse.  So that she can better care for them by completing her education, Jesus is helping by working full time to support and care for the family to include himself, siblings, and his mom.  This is a special young man to recognize this need and step up to the plate.  And every time I see him at lunch, there lays the Bible right next to him....ready....and protective.  The Kingdom of God has arrived among us.  Matthew 12:28.

My friend, Jesus, embodies what is written in Matthew 11; 25-30 as written in the Message translation of the Bible.  It reads:

"Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer:  "Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.  You've concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people. Yes, Father, that's the way you like to work."

Jesus resumed talking to the people, but now tenderly, "The Father has given me all these things to do and say.  This is a unique Father-Son operation, coming out of Father and Son intimacies and knowledge.  No one knows the Son the way the Father does, nor the Father the way the Son does.  But I'm not keeping it to myself;  I'm ready to go over it line by line with anyone willing to listen.

"Are you tired?  Worn out?  Burned out on religion?  Come to me.  Get away with me and you'll recover your life.  I'll show you how to take a real rest.  Walk with me and work with me - watch how I do it.  Learn the unforced rhythms of grace.  I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.  Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

With only a few words, anyone would want what my friend has....The Messiah....and all the Messiah has to offer.  Anyone within hearing range would want to jump out of their seat and praise the Lord by listening to what my friend has to say about The Savior.  My friend speaks with such Holy Spirit power you can't help but want what he has....God, Jesus, Holy Spirit!  His passion for his Savior, Jesus, is infectious.  'Like the roaring of a mighty windstorm', his zeal, his passion for Jesus, the message he presents can fill you, just lke Holy Spirit did on Pentecost.  Acts 2:2

So tell me, do you consider yourself a Christian?  Are you going forth on the highways and by-ways of life, at work, in the home, on the streets, wherever, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, telling folks that the Messiah you are looking for is Jesus?  Why not?  We are ALL called to do this once we accept Jesus as our Savior.  Perhaps you haven't made him Lord of your life, like my friend has.  My friend has no formal education as an 'ordained minister' per the 'rules' of churches built by man.  But he has been ordained by God.  "It is God who give us, along with you, the ability to stand firm for Christ.  He [GOD] has commissioned us, and he has identified us as his own by placing the Holy Spirit in our hearts as the first installment of everything he will give us."  2 Corinthians 1:21-22.

In Luke 24:13, specifically verse 33, we learn that Jesus appeared to the disciples....the two from Emmaus, the eleven disciples, and the other followers of Jesus.  He was alive....he ate....he had returned from heaven after his death....he could be touched.  Verses 36-43.  And in verse 47, Jesus said, "With my authority, take this message of repentance to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem:  'There is forgiveness of sins for all who turn to me.'  He didn't just say this to the eleven.  He said it to the many....the two from Emmaus and the other followers of himself....and the new Christian religion called 'The Way'.

Not only do each and everyone of us who are Christians have Jesus' commanded authority, and God's commission to go forth, but we have the responsibility to do so.  Our job is to produce much fruit.  From John 15:5 we learn Jesus said, 'Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches.  Those who remain in me, and I in them, will [Say WILL] produce much fruit.  And in verse 8 we learn Jesus also said, My true [Say TRUE] disciples produce much fruit.  This brings great glory to my Father."

Jesus also said "And the very words I have spoken to you are spirit and life."  John 6:63  Just like my new friend, Jesus, speaks about the Savior, eternal life, forgiveness of sins.  If you are a Christian, I hope you will speak out, too, about our Savior Jesus, his saving/forgiving grace....for your sake and God's glory.

If you are not a Christian, I encourage you to consider becoming one by asking God and Jesus into your life, asking God to forgive you of your sins, and asking Jesus to baptize you with his Holy Spirit.  But don't stop there....obey him.  Read all of John 15 to understand why.

I hope you will meet my friend, Jesus, along the way, so he can share with you how great God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit are and all they have to offer.  You are also welcome to read anything in this website.  There are 6 years of archived 'Thoughts' of explained Scripture references, among other things, including prayers.  And by all means, if you are in an area that has ground-based churches, and you are capable of getting there, sans an illness or economy that prevents, find a church that preaches the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ clearly.  Worship the Lord your God with all your heart and all your mind and all your strength.  And leave the politics to someone else.

Oh, and, if someone says you can't preach unless you are ordained by man, go forth!  As a matter of fact.....run.  Because God and Jesus told you can....and you should!  Let others say what they will.  You answer to a higher power....THE higher power....God, Jesus, Holy Spirit!

  Let Us Pray

Thank you, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit for reminding me that I am not alone, nor alone in my walk for you, that you are with me.  That your ways are not the ways of those in the world.  That I can go forth with the fire of the Holy Spirit to preach and teach about you, Jesus.  That you are the Messiah the world is looking for.  And, that I have blessed assurance that I have been called by you, Jesus, and I am identified and commissioned (ordained) by you, God.  I realize that I will have troubles in my walk for you, but with you I....we....you and I....WILL rise above them.  My job for you, God, is to walk in your ways to bring you glory.  Please forgive me of my sins, heal me and make me whole, and, being filled with you, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, lead me on.  Please send other Christians to surround me, so that we might all be prayerful strengths to one another in the field together.  And please, show me what you would have me do, and say, as I walk this journey, that I might present with a quality testimony to bring you glory, God.  And, my Father God, my Savior Jesus, my Comforter, Teacher Holy Spirit, please bless my friend, Jesus, and his family.  Heal his dad, and help his mom with her education, while you give strength, support, and an extra measure of your love to Jesus and his siblings.  Thank you, God, Jesus, Holy Spirit.  May all the glory be yours!  I praise you!  I thank you again!  I love you!  Amen!

  Our Continual Cause

It is time to reach into the community and the world around you to see wherein lies the greatest need.  As you choose to focus on these areas, do so with a servant's heart.  Whether the need is for children, adults, or animals, or any cause in between that will help those in need, ask God how you can best serve his needs, what path you must take, and how long you should persevere.  Sometimes we are to be in the lives of others merely as stepping stones.  Sometimes we are to touch those lives forever.  Whatever journey you are called to take, whatever team you will be a member, know this:  God is with you always...even til the end of time.  He loves you, is grateful for you, and will help you along life's way, especially if you are helping others along theirs, persevering with a servant's heart.

Please accept my sincerest thanks....and God's....and may God richly bless you !
