Who We Are

The Church of the Holy Spirit is a Christian church.

We believe in God the Father....our Father, Creator

In Jesus, the Messiah....our Savior and Lord
and in
Holy Spirit, our Comforter, Teacher, and Guide. 

We believe that God made the heavens, the earth, and all creatures therein.

And that He forgives us of our sins.

 God has given all creatures His son, Jesus, who died on a cross and arose from the dead.

We believe Jesus went to heaven and is now seated at God’s right hand.

Jesus' death and resurrection has given us the opportunity to receive the gift of eternal life. 
 
God has given us Holy Spirit to teach, comfort, and guide us.
 
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God.

Who are God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

God is our heavenly Father who created the heavens and the earth.  He lovingly forgives our sins.  God gave us His Son, Jesus, who died on a cross, and arose from the dead.  Jesus now sits at the right hand of God.  He is the Messiah, our Savior.  He can be our Lord, if we believe in him and accept him.  He gave us the opportunity to receive eternal life.  When Jesus went to heaven, Holy Spirit was made available to us to comfort, teach, and guide us.

Jesus:  Matthew 1, 2 & 3
Holy Spirit:  John 15:26, 16:5-15

Are you one with God, Jesus and Holy Spirit?

If you have not accepted the Trinity (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit) into your life to receive all they have to give you, and you would like to, pray this prayer or use your own words from your heart:

“Dear Heavenly Father God, please forgive me of my sins known and unknown.  Jesus, please come into my life, heal me, and make me whole.  Give me a new life in and with you.  I wish to receive all that you have to give.  Baptize me in the fullness of your Holy Spirit, so that I can learn all I can about you, to love you as you love me, so I can love others, and, so I can love myself.  Holy Spirit, please fill me to overflowing with all the fruits and the gifts you have to give me to help me grow in Christ Jesus and be able to share the Trinity with others.  Thank you for giving me this new life.  Please send other Christians to surround me to help me grow and be strong to defeat Satan and the things of the world.  Help me to be worthy of your love.  Thank you God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.  In Jesus' name I pray, by and with the power of the Holy Spirit, to dear Heavenly Father God.  Amen.”

The Apostle Paul gave us this “Prayer for Spiritual Empowerment” in Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT.  It reads

“When I think of the wisdom and scope of God’s plan, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will give you mighty inner strength through his Holy Spirit.  And I pray that Christ will be more and more at home in your hearts as you trust in him.  May your roots go down deep into the soil of God’s marvelous love.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it.  Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

Now glory be to God!  By his mighty power at work within us, he is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope.  May he be given glory in the church and in Christ Jesus forever and ever through endless ages.  Amen.”  

Jesus told us to remain in his love in John 15:9-13 NLT:

“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me.  Remain in my love.  When you obey me, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father and remain in his love.  I have told you this so that you will be filled with my joy.  Yes, your joy will overflow!  I command you to love each other in the same way that I love you.  And here is how to measure it - the greatest love is shown when people lay down their lives for their friends."

He Is Risen !

(Follow Medical & Scientific guidelines for COVID 19 and pray believing.)

Matthew 28: 1-7

Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to see the tomb.  Suddenly there was a great earthquake, because an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and rolled aside the stone and sat on it.  His face shown like lightening, and his clothing was as white as snow.  The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint.

Then the angel spoke to the women.  "Don't be afraid!" he said.  "I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.  He isn't here!  He has been raised from the dead, just as he said would happen.  Come, see where his body was lying.  And now, go quickly and tell his disciples he has been raised from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee.  You will see him there.  Remember, I have told you."

Thoughts....

Why is this important?  For many reasons.  One, God further proved Jesus was the Savior born through his death and resurrection.  Being the Savior born, gave us hope.  Being raised from the dead gave us opportunity to be raised with him....if we believe in him.  Rising to heaven gave us promise....that we, too, can do the same....if we take advantage of the opportunity given us....to believe in him, and obey him.  See John 15.  

Further more, Jesus said to his disciples after he arose from the grave, the earth, and after having returned from heaven, "I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.  And be sure of this:  I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Matthew 28:18-20

So, we....all of us....have been commanded, under Jesus' complete authority given to us, to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  We are to teach these new disciples to obey all the commands he has given us.  Which is why I preach the Gospel....the Truth....via the web.  To help make disciples of all nations and teach everyone to obey all the commands he has given us.  Being reminded daily, by the way, of how inadequate, human, and fallible I am in my task, I press on with hope, and promise, and forgiveness for my failings....yet I am made perfect in his sight....as are you.  

So I encourage you to press on with me.  Let us rise up together as one in prayer for all things.  Be in prayer for all those suffering with COVID 19 and other diseases, for the families of those having lost their loved ones into the arms of our Lord, who rejoices to have them back home again, and for all responders who risk their lives daily, having been gifted by God to try and heal those ailing.  And pray also for those who are sheltered at home, those at risk in those homes from sufferings of abuse or illness.  And pray for all creatures/pets who may suffer from illness, abuse, loss, and sorrow as well.

Satan can kick us to the curb, he can put us down, and take us out, but, with God, all things are possible.  We have been empowered to rebuke Satan and his assigns....those scavengers creating death and disease by whatever names we call them, COVID 19, Respiratory illness, Fever, or other.  

You are not alone.  I will be with you in Spirit and prayer through all of this....and remember....Jesus IS with us....even to the end of age....as are Holy Spirit and God.  Turn to them....they are waiting to hear from you, and so ready to embrace you. 

May your Easter be blessed in the knowledge Jesus LIVES....and as such, we all can have new life, both here on earth, and in heaven!

Let Us Pray

God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, we come to you this day, on the day chosen to honor and celebrate the resurrection of you, Jesus, begging for mercy all over the world as people and animals alike are suffering and succumbing to a ravaging disease called COVID 19.  And lest we forget those suffering other diseases, we add those now here, too.  We pray for those who have lost loved ones to your arms, but know that you rejoice they are home again with you now healthy and happy again.  Take those left behind into your loving arms and heal their hearts from the pain of losing their loved ones.  We pray for the responders who are helping in so many ways including those beyond medical support as well.  We pray for those sheltering in place, may they find a new self within, a more compassionate and peace filled, loving self.  We pray for all those suffering from abuse, lift them to safety however measured.  We pray for all who are alone in their illness and suffering, find them help.  And we pray for all animals, those pets we adore, and all others, that they not suffer by anyone's hands, and are healed and made whole, just like those humans in creation we've prayed for.  We rebuke spirit of illness, we rebuke the spirit of COVID 19, we rebuke the spirit of respiratory, cardiovascular, neurovascular, gastrointestinal, glandular, lymphatic illness in the name of Jesus as well.  We pray for economic, financial relief for all those in the world, too.  And we command, in the name of Jesus, perfect healing for all, in all ways, by and with the power of the Holy Spirit, dear Heavenly Father God.  Let it Be!  We praise you.  We thank you.  We love you.  Amen.

  Our Continual Cause

It is time to reach into the community and the world around you to see wherein lies the greatest need.  As you choose to focus on these areas, do so with a servant's heart.  Whether the need is for children, adults, animals, the earth, or any cause in between that will help those in need, ask God how you can best serve his needs, what path you must take, and how long you should persevere.  Sometimes we are to be in the lives of others merely as stepping stones.  Sometimes we are to touch those lives forever.  Whatever journey you are called to take, whatever team you will be a member, know this:  God is with you always...even til the end of time.  He loves you, is grateful for you, and will help you along life's way, especially if you are helping others along theirs, persevering with a servant's heart.

"Abruptly Jesus broke into prayer:  "Thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth.  You've concealed your ways from sophisticates and know-it-alls, but spelled them out clearly to ordinary people.  Yes, Father, that's the way you like to work."
