Prayers To God

The prayers below are provided for those not knowing what to say or how...or wanting new focus.  Generally, you can just speak to God from your heart like you would speak to anyone else.  But there are times when we don't know how to pray or the pain is so great we don't know how to start...or carry on.

Other prayers can be found on the 'Church of the Holy Spirit' opening page, and in the archived 'Scriptures' page.

I hope these prayers, and the others that will be added from time to time, will help you step into the arms of the Trinity....God, Jesus and Holy Spirit.  May you be blessed...as all God's children should.

The Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day, our daily bread.  And forgive us our trespasses/sins, as we forgive those who have trespassed/sinned against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory....forever.

Amen.

My Daily Prayer

Dear God,

I need your help and strategy to know how to handle my life right now.  Please will you help me?  Thank you.  I love you.

Lord, give me your power and wisdom and enablement of the Holy Spirit to accomplish my destiny.  I have a rendezvous with destiny.  Help me write a history of commitment, bravery, self sacrifice and victory.

Send Holy Spirit and the Angels to stop Satan's advances and hold me, my family, our home, and possessions under protection at all times.

I, and they, are an indispensible means for claiming victory for the Trinity.

Tell Satan to go back to hell.

Help me break with the past, and it's traditions, emotional addictions, etc., in order to establish claim to the future.

Give me tactics to perfect myself for you, Lord.

God, annoint me fully for the assignments you've given me.  Give me a supernatural ability to prevail and succeed.

Visit me in a holy and awesome way.

It's divine appointment time.  Birth a holy visitation on me.

Move me further toward my destiny to birth new nations and descendants in Christ.

And help me to face you and let you!

In Jesus name I pray by and with the Holy Spirit to dear Heavenly Father, God.

Amen.

Roaring

Let the roar of victory in you, Lord, be big in my spirit today, so that together we will do everything you have assigned us to do.

Amen

Power Source

Dear God,

Grant me peace today that I might be able to review and receive your word.

And rest, that I might embrace your word.

And strength that I might be able to carry your word forth.

In Jesus name I pray, by and with the power of the Holy Spirit, to dear Heavenly Father God, I pray.

Amen

The Possible

All things are possible to those who believe.

Casting Out

Lord, thank you for not condemning me when doubts arise in my heart, mind, body, spirit, and soul.

Send your Spirit of peace where there is doubt, confusion and fear.

And may the reality of your perfect love for me cast out every doubt, confusion, fear, sorrow or pain hidden in my heart, mind, body, spirit or soul.

Amen

My Prayer for the Children

Dear God,

When it rains, let me be reminded that you are baptising the animal kingdom.

When it is windy, let me hope and expect that the Holy Spirit is raising up a mighty nation of believers.

And when it snows, may it show they are blanketed in your arms.

And when the sun shines, I will know your love is embracing them.

Holy Heavenly Father God,

Jesus, Lord and Savior of the Universe,

Holy Spirit, Comforter and Teacher to all....

Thank you this day for the enormity of your love.

All creatures wait for the second coming of man.

Amen.

Peace

Lord, let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.

Amen.

For Today

O God:  Give me strength to live another day; Let me not turn coward before its difficulties or prove recreant to its duties; Let me not lose faith in other people; Keep me sweet and sound of heart, in spite of ingratitude, treachery, or meanness; Preserve me from minding little stings or giving them; Help me to keep my heart clean, and to live so honestly and fearlessly that no outward failure can dishearten me or take away the joy of conscious integrity; Open wide the eyes of my soul that I may see good in all things; Grant me this day some new vision of thy truth; Inspire me with the spirit of joy and gladness; and make me the cup of strength to suffering souls; in the name of the strong Deliverer, our only Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A Morning Resolve

I will try this day to live a simple, sincere, and serene life, repelling promptly every thought of discontent, anxiety, discouragement, impurity, and self-seeking; cultivating cheerfulness, magnanimity, charity, and the habit of holy silence; exercising economy in expenditure, generosity in giving, carefulness in conversation, diligence in appointed service, fidelity to every trust, and a childlike faith in God.

In particular I will try to be faithful in those habits of prayer, work, study, physical exercise, eating, and sleep which I believe the Holy Spirit has shown me to be right.

And as I cannot in my own strength do this, nor even with a hope of success attempt it, I look to thee, O Lord God my Father, in Jesus my Savior, and ask for the gift of the Holy Spirit.*
